Red Willow Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum
Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
"Classic Washington Cabernet nose of black raspberry, red currant reduction, espresso powder, mountain flowers and dried herbs. This wine is finely structured and very balanced on the palate with deep boysenberry, blackberry, graphite, and freshly turned loam notes. This wine is drinking nicely with a good decant, but it is built to cellar for a very long time. Drink 2026-2050." - Chris Peterson, Winemaker

"Coming from old plantings (1991) at the top of the hill at the Red Willow Vineyard, the 2019 ‘Red Willow Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon shows off tar and pencil lead notes alongside dusty soils, cigar ash and black currant jelly. The palate is deep and refined with very elegant tannins. Intense dark fruits parade with espresso grounds, dried herbs and suggestions of crème de violette. Drink this beauty over the next two decades. Drink 2022-2040."
